Information
Information we collect and how we use it
Visitors to the Website are not required to register for an account or provide any personal information to us. In order to use the BEYE Platform and Services, you are required to create an account with BEYE. When visiting BEYE or creating an account with BEYE, we may collect the following types of information:
- Information you provide. When you sign up for a BEYE account or other BEYE services, events or promotions that require registration, we may ask you for personal information (such as your name, email address, and account name password). In order to purchase content on the Website, we also request credit card or other payment account information which we maintain in encrypted form on secure servers.
- Cookies. “Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Generally, cookies work by assigning to your computer a unique number that has no meaning outside of our site. When you visit BEYE, we send one or more cookies to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service by storing user preferences and tracking user trends. For example, we may use cookies to assist us in delivering content specific to your interests. Additionally, after you’ve entered your account ID during a session on our service, we save that information, so you don’t have to re-enter it repeatedly during that session. For security reasons, however, we do not save your password, so you must re-enter it every time you wish to log onto the BEYE Platform. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Some BEYE features and services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled.
- Log information / IP Address. When you use the BEYE Platform or Services, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser.
- User communications. When you send email or other communication to BEYE, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.
- Affiliated sites. We may offer some of our Services in connection with other websites. Personal information that you provide to those sites may be sent to BEYE in order to deliver the service. If so, we will process such information in accordance with this Policy. The affiliated sites may have different privacy practices and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
- Social Media Information. We may have pages on social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, X(Twitter), YouTube and LinkedIn. When you interact with our social media pages, we will collect Personal Information that you elect to provide to us, such as your contact details (collectively, “Social Information”). In addition, the companies that host our social media pages may provide us with aggregate information and analytics about our social media activity.
BEYE only processes personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. In addition to the above, such purposes include:
- Auditing, research and analysis in order to maintain, protect and improve our services.
- Ensuring the technical functioning of our networks.
- Developing new programs or services.
- Preventing criminal conduct or misuse of our services and protect our systems and networks.
- Complying with legal requests and processes and protecting our rights and the rights of those who use our services.
BEYE processes personal information on our servers in the United States of America.
Choices for personal information
In order to use the BEYE Platform and Services and participate in our various interactive activities you will be asked to register with your account name and password. If you opt in and agree to provide us with contact information, we may use that information to contact you.
If we propose to use personal information for any purposes other than those described in this Policy and/or in the specific service notices, we will offer you an effective way to opt out of the use of personal information for those other purposes. We will not collect or use sensitive information for purposes other than those described in this Policy and/or in the specific service notices, unless we have obtained your prior consent.
You can decline to submit personal information to any of our services, in which case BEYE may not be able to provide those services to you.
Information Sharing
BEYE only shares personal information with other companies or individuals outside of BEYE in the following limited circumstances:
- We have your consent. We require opt-in consent for the sharing of any sensitive personal information.
- We provide such information to our subsidiaries, affiliated companies or other trusted businesses or persons for the purpose of processing personal information on our behalf. We require that these parties agree to process such information based on our instructions and in compliance with this Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
- We have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (b) enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (d) protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of BEYE, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.
If BEYE becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will provide notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Additional uses of information
BEYE uses non-personal data in a variety of ways, including, by way of example, to evaluate and improve the performance of the BEYE services, cater to the general preferences of authorized users, or to generate anonymous statistics. BEYE may share and release information on an aggregated basis only (meaning that the information from many users is grouped together in a way that does not disclose the personal information of any particular user). For example, information will be collected as needed in order to provide the service, to report aggregate use information to certain third parties, to process transactions conducted through the service (such as payment of applicable fees), and to communicate with users under certain circumstances. Because non-personal data is entirely anonymous and, therefore, can never be used by us to identify you, this Privacy Policy does not limit BEYE’s ability to use or disclose non-personal data.
BEYE also uses information collected through the BEYE Platform, Services or the Website to communicate with the authorized users from whom such information was collected in order to provide promotional materials about BEYE and/or about our business partners and affiliates. However, unlike communications which are necessary to provide the service to authorized users, promotional communications are optional, and BEYE will refrain from sending that kind of information to you if you inform us that you prefer not to receive them, as described in more detail below, except for those narrow circumstances set forth in our Terms of Use.
Under certain limited circumstances, we may be subject to legal requirements to disclose information collected through the Website, such as, by way of example, to a court or a governmental agency, and our policy is to comply fully with all such legal requirements. The disclosures contemplated by this paragraph are necessary if you wish to use the service. As mentioned above, BEYE may use and disclose non-personal data without restriction. If you do not want us to make such necessary disclosures, or to use non-personal data without restriction, you must not use the service.
Information Security
We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.
We restrict access to personal information to BEYE employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
However, we cannot guarantee that internet or email transmissions will be secure or error free, and we are not responsible for loss or misuse of personal information as a result of third-party interference with privacy setting or security measures.
Data Integrity and Retention
BEYE processes personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Policy and the Terms of Use. We review our data collection, storage and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store and process the personal information needed to provide or improve our services. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary. We retain personal information for only as long as reasonably necessary to provide services or other legitimate business purposes or to comply with legal and other business obligations.
Personal Data Management
When you use BEYE services, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information and either to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. We ask individual users to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected or removed before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup tapes), or for which access is not otherwise required. In any case where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort. Some of our services have different procedures to access, correct or delete users’ personal information.
Protect Yourself
You can help to protect your information by safeguarding your BEYE password, using caution and discretion when posting information on public areas of the Website.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights, such as the right to:
- Access, delete, update or transfer your personal information
- Restrict how we process your personal information
- Withdraw consent you have given us
- Object or complain about how we are processing or using your personal information, either to us or authorities responsible for data protection
You may communicate an objection or complaint to us by email to support@beye.ai.
Verification
In order to ensure that your personal information is not compromised by unauthorized use, we may from time to time require you to verify your credentials. This may include a request to provide additional personal information, proof of residency or other related information. If we are unable to verify your identity, we may be unable to honor a request, provide a service and in some cases may cancel your account.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under the age of 13 and our services are not intended for children. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18 you are required to have (and may be asked to verify) that you have the permission of your parent or guardian to use our services.
